DAFA members have the opportunity each year to participate in annual fiber shows. The works cover a variety of mediums including mixed media, wearable art, felting, paper and many more.

Patsy Davila won 1stplace in the new category “Upcycle/Recycle” with her creation “Koi Kan Pond.”

Diana Pease received 2nd place in the Fiber Arts category with her small art quilt, “Deep Ellum.”

Two exciting DAFA shows are in the works right now!

FIBERLICIOUS! is our annual member's show. Each member was invited to enter three pieces, and our juror, Gayle Curry, made her final selections.

FIBERLICIOUS! features 40 fabulous pieces on display, with an incredible diversity of style, color, technique, and subject matter. The show also includes a memorial to long-time DAFA member, Flo Barry.

OBTANIUM is this year's challenge competition. It is a tribute to fiber artist Betty Smith, whose estate has generously donated an assorted of African Wax Print fabrics, which are featured in each challenge piece.

OBTANIUM challenges DAFA members to ceate fiber art from supplies that can be had for little or no cost.

FIBERLICIOUS! and OPTAINIUM will run from April 4th through April 24th at The Point. Prizes will be awarded at the members' reception on April 24th. We hope you will be there to join in the fun and excitement!
