DAFA member Traci Hutton has been sewing and creating with fabric for many years. She grew up in the bright lights of Las Vegas, working backstage at many of the different hotels, dressing showgirls and celebrities. After moving to Texas, she graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a degree in Costume and Clothing Design.

Having worked in children’s television for many years, Traci has had three Emmy nominations and an Emmy win for Outstanding Costuming for the children’s series Wishbone. Currently Traci works on the costuming staff of The Dallas Opera. Her free time is devoted to creating whimsical plushes, art dolls, and other fiber creations for her art-T-dolls website and Etsy site. Her creations are great favorites at DAFA Show & Tell sessions!

Create a Funny Bunny to start your new year off with a smile! Make one for your funny Valentine, add it to a favorite child's Easter basket, or simply keep it where it makes you smile each day! Like all of Traci's charming stuffed creatures, these Funny Bunnies can be created for year-round enjoyment. You can make it traditional or totally whimsical. You will have the opportunity to create a bunny with your individual choice of colors and handwork. An experienced teacher, Traci will oversee the process and provide expert instruction.

The kit provided with the supply fee will include a choice of fabric color, plus stuffing and all other components (buttons, thread, etc.) needed for you to create your own one-of-a-kind bunny. Color options: Natural (white, black, beige, grey), Pastel (light pink, light blue), or Bright (red, turquoise, orange, hot pink).

Note: Students need to bring scissors for cutting paper, regular shears for cutting fabric, and smaller 4"-5" scissors that have a good sharp-pointed blade. A sewing machine (straight stitch) is recommended but optional for final assembly.
