Started in 1999, the Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest is a very special event for the DFW community and the residents of CC Young. DAFA is thrilled to support our longtime partner as they hold this art gallery show, award ceremony, and reception.

2026 DAFA Retrospective
Dallas Area Fiber Artists: A Retrospective, the final exhibition, celebrated the creative depth and diverse talents of our membership. Members were able to showcase their artwork and engage with a broad community audience at the beautiful Keller Town Hall in Keller, Texas.

About the Show
Since 1999, the Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest has honored the creativity of the Dallas-Fort Worth community and CC Young. This is the 26th year of this exhibition honoring ageless talent.
The Contest, Art Gallery Show, and Awards are open to all DFW residents, including CC Young, age 55 and better. The exhibition proudly displays every entry to celebrate each person's unique abilities and willingness to share their talents, regardless of limitations. All skill levels are welcome!
Winners will be recognized at a celebration held at The Point on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 2–4 pm.

Eligibility
All current members of DAFA were eligible to submit artwork for this retrospective. Every artist was able to have at least one (1) artwork included in the exhibition!
Note:
There were no restrictions on date of completion of artwork. There were
no entry fees and
no prizes were awarded.
Media:
2D or 3D fiber art. Mixed media welcome. Jewelry, accessories and garments (Jacket length) were welcome. 2D artwork was required to be wired for hanging. Pedestals were provided for 3D artwork. Artists with garment artwork provided a tabletop dress form for placement on pedestal. Jewelry cases were provided but artists needed to supply additional desired display materials.
Sales of Artwork
Artwork was eligible for sale. Keller Town Hall managed transactions and issued payment by check. Artists retained responsibility for paying a 20% commission back to Keller Town Hall.
Artwork Pickup
Pick up of artwork was on
Monday, March 2, 2026, at Keller Town Hall, or at the DAFA meeting on
March 14, 2026. Additional details were provided to participants closer to the end of the exhibition.
