Dallas Area Fiber Artists invites you to join its thriving fiber art community! Donors and members are at the heart of Dallas Area Fiber Artists, helping us further our mission of honoring fiber traditions, promoting excellence and innovation and inspiring widespread participation in fiber art.
Donations
Dallas Area Fiber Artists is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, reliant on contributions from supporters. Membership dues and donations are fully tax deductible. Please contact the treasurer should you have any questions.
You can make a payment by check at one of the meetings or you can contact the treasurer for a mailing address.
There is an option for online payment as well:
North Texas Giving Day
North Texas Giving Day takes place in September, but you can donate using the link at any time.
Volunteer Opportunities
As a nonprofit organization, we depend on volunteers to fulfill our mission and goals. We are looking for members to serve on the Board and on committees.
We need assistance with our monthly meetings, special events and public outreach. If you are interested in contributing, please contact one of our Board members for further details.
Volunteer Appreciation
Annual Volunteer Awards
Each year we recognize our outstanding volunteers. We are enormously grateful to all those who have contributed their time to support both Dallas Area Fiber Artists and to the larger North Texas arts community.
Lifetime Awards
In 2017, we began a new volunteer appreciation program, the Lifetime Awards, to recognize longtime volunteers. The first recipients of these awards were Diana Pease and Lu Peters. Lisa Covert and Carrie Noess were named subsequent recipients.
Past President Awards
We also have a program called Past President Awards, where we recognize past presidents for their valuable contribution. All past presidents become lifetime members of Dallas Area Fiber Artists at the completion of their terms in appreciation for their hard work in leading our organization.
